Description: The artifact included is a Glog co-created by my cohort member and me. We chose to identify the information that teachers and students most often are in need of as the availability of resources is vast and consideration of ethical behavior in retrieving and reprocessing these resources is required. This infographic contains the source of the information and is presented to allow self-paced instruction and dual modalities of visual graphics and audio content. Utilization of this infographic is part of a plan of action also created for GDIT 725. This artifact provides evidence of reflection and leadership in demonstrating professional ethics in my professional field.
Reflection: Leadership and Ethics was a course full of discovery and new learning for me. We were able to use an inquiry approach for many of the assignments, which helped me to gain a resource list for use with my pre-service teachers. As I help my students uncover the affordances of integrating technologies in their own teaching, it is imperative that I also educate them on the professional ethics of the field of education. The benefit of learning new knowledge is the ability to share that new knowledge with my students. The Glog that my colleague and I created is representative of some of the new knowledge gained by engaging in this course. Reflecting on my own practice in light of the new knowledge gained helped me to identify a plausible plan of action to promote ethical behavior in the field of education.
